The Fourth annual Zombie Swim is just around the corner. The Zombie Swim is on September 26th. There will be a costume contest and s?mores. This event is limited to 100 people, so we may sell out. Make sure sign up right away to make sure your spot is held. You can register for the Zombie Swim by clicking here. Register Zombie Swim. I believe Halloween Horror Nights are based on the same principle, you pay good money to be scared shitless in the dark, however, we use real Zombies and all the entry fees goes to the Step Into Swim charity.

The Lake Cane Restoration Society weather station is up and running. You can check out the air temperature, water temperature, wind speed, live video of the lake, water wetness, and more. It is available on our website www.lakecane.org. and www.luckyslakeswim.com. Water wetness is currently at 100%.

There is a Swim Across America event going on on Saturday, September 12. We need bodies in the water. You do not have to donate to participate. If you are not familiar with Swim Across America, nationwide it has raised millions of dollars for cancer research over the last many years. The swim is at 6:30 a.m. At the Rosen Aquatic Center in the Doc Lucky Meisenheimer Natatorium (boy that was a shameless plug Lucky forced me to put in), a little early for a Saturday however a good cause. It still gives you time to swim at the Rosen Aquatic Center and then come and do a couple of crossings afterwards at Lucky?s Lake Swim. You can register here. Register Swim Across America
